Delete your MediSync account
This page explains how to delete your MediSync account (published by NoordWell B.V.) and what happens to your data when you do.
Delete it yourself, in the app
- Open MediSync.
- Tap the menu in the top-right of the home screen.
- Choose Account → Delete Account.
- Confirm. On iPhone, Apple will then ask you to authorise with your Apple Account so we can revoke MediSync's access — this is part of the deletion, not a new sign-in.
If you have an active MediSync Pro subscription, cancel it separately in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Deleting the account does not cancel the subscription.
Ask us to do it
If you have already removed the app, or you would rather we handled it, email info@noordwell.com from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my MediSync account". We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your medications and schedules — every medication, vitamin and supplement you added, with its dose times and reminder settings.
- Your dose history — every taken, skipped and missed dose the app recorded, including doses logged by a MediSync container.
- Your paired devices — any MediSync container linked to your account, and the pairing codes and phone registrations that went with it.
- Your caregiver connections — both directions. Family you invited lose access to your medications immediately, and you are removed from any account you were following. Open invitations are cancelled.
- Your account record, including the link to your Apple or Google identity. On iPhone the Apple token is revoked at the same time.
- Anything you told us when cancelling a subscription in the app, and any pending emails about your lapsed subscription.
This is immediate and permanent. There is no recovery and no grace period.
What is kept, and why
We may keep records we are legally required to keep, such as accounting records for a purchase, for as long as the law requires. These do not include your medications or your dose history.
Some records sit with the services we use rather than in your account, and the in-app deletion does not erase them by itself:
- Usage and crash reports in Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics. They carry a pseudonymous account identifier, not your medications, and expire on their own: Crashlytics keeps crash reports for 90 days, and Google Analytics keeps event-level data for at most 14 months.
- Your subscription record at RevenueCat, our subscription provider, and the install and purchase records at AppsFlyer, which measures our advertising.
- Emails we sent you through Bird, our email provider.
If you want those erased too, email info@noordwell.com from the address on your account and we will ask each service to delete your data, within 30 days.
