Delete your ShelfSense account
This page explains how to delete your ShelfSense account (published by NoordWell B.V.) and what happens to your data when you do.
Delete it yourself, in the app
- Open ShelfSense.
- Tap the profile icon in the top-right of the home screen.
- Scroll to the bottom of your profile and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm. If your account uses Sign in with Apple, Apple asks you to confirm once more, so that we can revoke ShelfSense's access.
Deleting your account does not cancel a ShelfSense Pro subscription. The App Store or Google Play bills it, not us: cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings, before or after you delete the account.
Ask us to do it
If you have already removed the app, or you would rather we handled it, email info@noordwell.com from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my ShelfSense account". We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your stash — every product you saved, with its brand, name, category, opened date, price and notes.
- Your account record, including the link to your Apple or Google identity. On iPhone the Apple token is revoked at the same time.
- Everything held on the device — your routine and its history, treatments you built, saved looks, cached product pictures, virtual try-on results, and any reminders that were scheduled.
- Linked email inboxes — their sign-in tokens or iCloud app-specific password, and any products still waiting for your review.
This is immediate and permanent. There is no recovery and no grace period.
What is kept, and why
The shared product catalogue — brand, product name, category and a picture URL for products that have been scanned — is not deleted. It carries no account identifier and nothing about who scanned a product, so it cannot be traced back to you or to anyone else.
If you took the free month offered when cancelling ShelfSense Pro, a one-way hash of the email and of the store subscription is kept for two years so the free month can't be claimed twice.
Feedback you sent from the app — the note, its screenshot and the details of the screen it came from — is kept as a support record, and the in-app deletion does not remove it. Email us and we will delete it.
Some records sit with the services we use rather than in your account, and the in-app deletion does not erase them by itself: usage, crash and session reports in Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Crashlytics and PostHog, which carry a pseudonymous account identifier and expire under each service's retention period; your subscription record at RevenueCat; and install records at AppsFlyer. If you want those erased too, email us from the address on your account and we will ask each service to delete your data, within 30 days.
We may keep records we are legally required to keep, such as accounting records for a purchase, for as long as the law requires. These do not include your stash or your photos.
